My name is Valentina Martinez and I am a bilingual sports writer. I enjoy covering all sports but my favorites to cover are baseball and basketball. I decided to pursue Sports Journalism because I am a strong believer in the idea that sports are much bigger than touchdowns, home runs and buzzer beaters. Sports has the power to unite people despite differences in background and culture. I hope to convey this idea through the content I produce. My career goals include working for an array of different networks and publications such as Yahoo Sports, ESPN and the Los Angeles Times.
